The Boys Soccer Banquet was held on Jan. 25th, to celebrate the past season and to say good bye to the Seniors and Coach Barrington. The Banquet started with a catered meal and raffle. The raffle raised $300.00 with 1/2 going to the Wounded Warrior Project and the other 1/2 to the Soccer Program. After moving to the Performing Arts Center, Coach Healy & Coach Cole presented the Freshmen Team with their award certificates. This was followed by Coach Blight presenting the award certificates to the Jv Program. Next up was a 25 minute power-point show bring the soccer season back to life. The end of that program served as a tribute to Coach Barrington & the Seniors at this, their last season at W-H. Award Certificates and special recognition was given to all Varsity Players. Special Awards were then presented to: Tom McGahan-Most Improved Player, Kevin Emery-Unsung Hero, Nate Almeida-Defensive Player of the Year, Brian McGahan-Offensive Player of the Year, Nate Almeida-Most Valuable Player, and the Coaches Choice Award was given to the entire Varsity Team for their heart, pride, and determination to make this year so successful. I want to Thank Everyone for making my last banquet so special. The kind words and fun gifts were greatly appreciated. I will remember all of you......
