Varsity vs Silver Lake 9/14 & important info

The Panthers started the game with high hopes but few in numbers due to injuries.  A disappointing 3 - 1 loss.  The 1st half was well played with some good ball control.  In the 9th minute, Stephen Stephansky drove a ball from a direct kick to Alex Nicoletta who headed it home.  This clearly caught the Lakers off guard.  We continued to play well until a penalty kick was awarded to the Lakers and they scored.  Not much Tom Lombardo could have done to stop that shot.  Halftime ended 1 - 1 tie.  The lack of subs caught up with us in the 2nd half.  Alex Minor had to leave the game due to possible concussion from an elbow to the temple.  The Lakers added 2 more in the second half.  We will be borrowing  2 Jv's to help us get through next week.

Varsity, enjoy your weekend off.  Practice Monday begins at 2:00 on turf for conditioning and then ball work.  After that we will go to the school for a core workout.  Bring Sneakers for the school workout.

Congratulations Freshmen for your win 3 - 1.  Jv's congratulation on a well played game.
