It's been quite a few years since the Whitman Hanson Panthers posted a win over Duxbury. The Panthers extended their winning streak to 3 games with the 2 -1 win. The Panthers opened up the scoring in the
1st half at the 12th minute mark on a goal by Tom Chmura
off an assist by Brian McGahan. Duxbury tied the game on a penalty kick that was almost saved by Jason Malloy. The Panthers did not let down and at the
33rd minute of the 1st half, the game winning goal was a
beautiful header by Mike Auld off a corner kick by Jake Winnett.
Stephen Stephansky had an outstanding game at sweeper and this was a great effort by the
entire team. The Panthers are now 3 – 6 – 0 overall.
The bench also played an important role with their positive support.
We have scored 10 goals in our last 3 games and have only given up 1. Our play has improved these past 3 games and we are bringing "it" to every game.
I am very proud of the determination of this team. The excitement today was overwhelming!
