Disappointing 5 - 2 loss at Duxbury, but not disappointing play. The Panthers went ahead in the 1st half scoring the 1st goal (by forward Nick Haley!). The Panther squad played a near perfect game in the 1st half - aggressive to the ball - shape! - play to the flanks - aggressive (did I repeat myself!?), quick play, putting pressure on Duxbury on every inch of the pitch. Unfortunately, our legs tired in the 2nd half. Visiting freshman Tom McGahan added our 2nd goal (on a corner from Ben Mains), but not enough to catch the very large in numbers Duxbury team.
If we play a full 70 minutes as we did in the 1st half of the Duxbury game, we can compete with any JV team! With a tough 2 weeks ahead of us, that is our goal!
