The Freshmen boys took on a challenging opponent in Silver Lake High School on Friday. It was a very good overall team performance on the offensive end as well as the defensive end. We are playing great as a team considering at times our offense looked unstoppable and our defense looked unbeatable.
The story of the game all took place in the last 10 minutes of regulation. With a 3-2 lead and ten minutes left luck once again left our side. Silver Lake scored two goals with in one minute of each other to take a lead of 4-3 and soon after with our team playing very offensive they stretched their lead to 5-3. The boys kept on battling though and made it a 5-4 game with about three minutes left but once again with numbers getting forward Silver Lake found away to stretch the lead to 6-4 and soon after the whistle blew for the end of regulation. The goal scorers of the game were Nate Almeida and Hamada Hazzoum both with two goals. Other standouts on the day included Ryan Kelly, Mike Pizzi, Ryan Silva, Jack Bannon played great in net once again and Garrett McSweeney played a very solid game in the central midfield. Lets get after them today at Bridgewater. We will see you all at 1:00pm for the bus.
