Freshmen vs Silver Lake 9/18

We faced a very skilled and tough Silver Lake team today. Both teams were battling back and forth, when

11 minutes into the game, Caleb Lewis made a nice pass to Joshua Baker who sent a through ball to Conner Keene. Conner sped past SL’s defense and sent a bullet past their keeper, putting us up 1-0.

3 minutes later SL scored off a nice header to tie the game.

 

1 minute into the second half a Bryce Pulkinen made a great pass to Ian Duffy, who made a nice cross to Jacob Drury on the opposite wing.  Jacob then sent a shot past their keeper. 20 minutes later SL tied up the game.

With 2 minutes left in the game, Silver Lake got a PK.  But our keeper Nate Mains held his ground and made a brilliant game saving stop.

The boys really stepped up their game today.  We played the boys in a lot different positions and they did a great job.

Mr. Cole and I are very proud of their performance today. They showed the strength and patience of a panther.
